Senior Accountant

The position of Senior Accountant at Mazars Denmark will expose you to a wide range of accounting disciplines within Accounting & Compliance, as well Management Accounting & Reporting. You will work with a client portfolio that is varied in size, sector and location. Part of the role is working with junior assistants, helping to develop their skills and review work, you will also be a ‘go-to’ for the client, meaning no two days are the same.

You will be instrumental in contributing to the department with ideas for change and improvement at a task, client or even organisational level. You are looking to be challenged and develop professionally, which we facilitate with an internal education plan and ongoing performance reviews of completed assignments.

  • VAT
  • Management Accounting & Reporting
• Also involvement in:
  • Payroll Services

We are looking for

Someone with a successful track record within accounting, confident in accounting processes and will bring a positive energy to the team.  You enjoy challenging the ‘norm’, with a focus on constant improvement and a pragmatic approach to work. You are able to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders both locally and internationally, at all levels of seniority.

The ideal profile is someone who has:

• 3-5 years accounting experience and a good knowledge of all accounting disciplines
• A strong understanding of VAT laws in Denmark
• Good IT literacy and preferably experience working with more than one economy system. Experience with Dataløn/bluegarden, e-conomic, NAV, C5, SAP is preferred, but not a must.
• A self-starter attitude with the ability to make independent decisions, prioritise multiple tasks and timelines to meet reporting and project deadlines. 
• Fluent in English, verbal and written
